Hello

Cecil Piano Studio is a private piano and vocal studio based in London, Canada,
serving students of all ages — from young beginners to adults.

I hold a degree in Piano Performance from Hanyang University in Korea and continued my musical studies in Germany. Over the years, I have taught students in Korea, Germany, the United States, and Canada, gaining decades of experience across diverse educational environments.

In my teaching, I place great importance on building strong musical foundations. The age at which a student begins, the guidance of the teacher, and the quality of early instruction play a crucial role in shaping a student’s long-term relationship with music.

For instruction, I primarily use:

• Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randall Faber, one of the most widely used and accessible methods in North America

• The curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), Canada’s most recognized music education system

• Select New Age and contemporary repertoire to encourage musical expression and enjoyment

Above all, I believe that music education is an act of care. With patience, attentiveness, and genuine love for children and learners, I strive to nurture both musical skills and emotional sensitivity.

My hope is to be a teacher who walks alongside each student — helping them grow not only as musicians, but as thoughtful and balanced individuals who carry music with them throughout life.

Inquiries and consultations are always welcome.
Thank you for visiting Cecil Piano Studio.
